The company yesterday published its patent-based analysis of the technology activities of IP-intensive AIM-listed companies.
The AIM, or Alternative Investment Market, is a sub-market of the London Stock Exchange, which has nearly 1600 companies listed.
CambridgeIP identified 68 of these companies as being patent-intensive.
Top ranked by both number of patents published and number filed was Imperial Innovations, part of Imperial College, University of London.
Imperial was closely followed by IDA Tech, a US fuel-cells maker, which was also ranked number one in terms of patent citations, with a total of 451, and in terms of US patents.
Transense Technologies, which develops surface acoustic wave sensors, also ranked highly for patents published and filed, and ranked first based on the number of patents registered in China.
